The recruiting profession is SALES and as a result
there is high level of rejection. Successful recruiters view
rejection, as one step closer to a “YES.â€
What most recruiters are not prepared for is the number
of failures they must “overcome!†For example:
Offer/Rejects
No Starts
Fall-Offs ….need I say more!
You must keep in mind that successful people fail
more, because they TRY more. If you close twenty
deals this year, you have a greater chance of something
falling off than if you only made two placements!
It’s how you handle failures that determines your future
level of success. Think of people you know who have
had failures in their life – which is just about everyone.
Why is it that some people are destroyed by failure while
others don’t seem that affected by them?
Successful people learn from their experiences and move
on to the next experience. You are in a profession with human
beings on both sides of the sale, which is a challenge in
itself. If you want to attain top production, you need to
learn from disappointments and failures and just think “NEXTâ€
It’s also easier to deal with failure if you have multiple
deals in process. Just always remember you don’t judge
a person’s success on the number of their successes, but by
the number of failures they overcome! That is how you
judge a true PEAK PERFORMER!
