We always remember certain historical events…For the Babyboomers reading this, we remember where we were when Kennedy got shot. We all remember the Challenger, 9/11 and now unfortunately, we will always remember Virginia Tech. We all have so much to be grateful for and hopefully today, you are reflecting on many of those things. Please join me in sending our thoughts and prayers to the entire Virginia Tech Community.
REFLECT FOR A MOMENT ON OUR PROFESSION…
Recruiting is a very demanding profession and we all know it is NOT a 9-5:00 career. We must however take time to realize that what we do is vitally important, to the hundreds of thousands of individuals we help every day. We change people’s lives for the better and need to be very proud of our Profession. I’d also like to advise you to take some time out “for yourself.” Whether you take a walk at lunch, work out in the morning before you begin your day or spend time with your family – it’s important to also do something every day for “you!” You need to identify what makes you happy and feel more balanced. It’s only when you love yourself that you can truly accomplish what you were put on this earth to do.
I heard a speaker once compare our life to an hourglass. We can’t CHANGE the sand in the bottom of the hourglass (representing our past) and none of us know how much sand we have in the top! It’s important to live every day to it’s fullest and that includes identifying something that gives you “joy” each and every day.
I’m grateful I have the opportunity to share what I know with you, I’m grateful for our amazing Profession,I’m grateful for your comments and I’m grateful you are all a part of my life!
